First, a DNA sample will be obtained by swabbing the inside of your cheek with a soft swab. This is quick and painless and completed in your practitioner's office. GeneSight is deeply committed to ensuring the integrity and safety of all the samples they receive.
Next, the sample is sent to the GeneSight lab for analysis, and the results are typically sent to your practitioner within about two days. The results will be provided in a highly comprehensive and detailed report outlining information on the best use for over 60 mental health medications, drug interactions, and dosages.
